Today we continued our holiday type experiences and went with the children to see the Changing of the Guard and then onto the Science Museum after lunch in St James Park and a detour to Downing Street! No – we weren’t invited and found it slightly amusing to see we had come to Downing Street and Tony was in Gillingham! We missed each other again!
This a great and cheap day out! We parked the car at North Greenwich tube station for the massive fee of £1 as it was a Bank Holiday. Even on a normal day it’s only £5 for the day – good ol Ken! Then we found a tube travel card for the whole family was only £6 as the children travel free!
I’m not really in to all that royalty stuff, but the children were really intrigued by all the pomp, the shouting, the shuffling and changing of the guards. It’s great to be able to give them the experience.
The Science museum is always a favourite of ours. It kinda blows my mind everytime as the displays remind me how amazingly complicated and intricate little bits of our creation are. All these intricate details knit together seamlessly to ensure our universe ticks over nicely. The most amazing thing is that I personally know the God who oversees all those important intricate details.
