Had a great day today with Andrew and Sarah, my wonderful brother and sister in la, and Rachel, Jonathan and Emily (who could ask for better nieces and a nephew?)

We went to Camber Sands and had a great time just chilling, enjoying the sun and the wind before ending the day with the first bbq of the year on the beach.

Andrew recently got a surf shoe from eBay – and muggings hear forgot both his wetsuit and a change of clothes – doh! So I watched with more than a tinge of jealousy as others enjoyed the waves. They missed out ultimately as I could have shown them a few tricks!

We are so lucky. It’s great that our both sets of children get on so well which means we can do things like this. Its a real privilege just to be able to spend time together; and guess what we said at the end of the day … ‘we really should do this more often’

If we say that enough to ourselves, one day its going to stick!
